Terms & refunds

Last updated October 26, 2026. Hearth & Paw is a brand of The Great Brick Company. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase.

What you're buying

A personalized digital storybook: a print-ready 17-page PDF (8.5 × 8.5 in) starring your pet, delivered by email as a private download link. Nothing is shipped.

How it's made

The illustrations are generated by an AI image model from your photo and details. The story is an original text we wrote, personalized with what you tell us. A person reviews every book before it's sent. Each book is unique, so small differences from your photo can happen; we aim for your pet to be clearly recognizable on every page.

Delivery

• Usually within 24 hours of payment, at most 48 hours.
• If your photo doesn't work, we'll email you a link to send another one. The clock restarts when we get it.
• Christmas orders close on December 21. Orders placed by then are delivered before December 24, or refunded in full.
• Your download link works for 30 days and a limited number of downloads. If it expires, write to us and we'll send a new one while we still have the file (60 days).

Redraws and refunds

• Doesn't look like your pet? Reply to the delivery email within 14 days and tell us what's off. We'll redraw those pages once, free.
• Still not right after the redraw? You get a full refund.
• Never delivered on time (see above): full refund.
• Refunds go back to your original payment method through Lemon Squeezy, usually within 5 to 10 business days.
• Because each book is made just for you, we can't refund simply for a change of mind after delivery. If something's wrong, talk to us; we'd rather fix it.

Your photo and content

• Only upload photos you took or have the right to use, showing your own pet.
• No people in the photo, and never children. No offensive text in names or dedications.
• We can decline an order that breaks these rules; if we do, we refund it in full.

Using your book

The book is for your personal use: print it, gift it, share it with family and friends, post it on your own social media. Please don't resell it or use it commercially. The story text and layout remain ours.
